JIM WARING - 4 term State Senator from LD-7. A native of Downers Grove, Illinois, he received his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, as well as a Masters in Political Science, a Masters in Public Administration, and a PhD in Public Administration from Arizona State University, having written a dissertation on education finance. He is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Waring is known as one of the hardest working politicans; he actually walks his District on a consistant basis. Geographically, Waring's entire legislative district lies within the boundaries of CD 3, which could give him a significant advantage. There are roughly 156,000 registered Republican voters in the congressional district. Of those voters, 48,000 -- nearly a third\ -- reside in Waring's legislative district. Waring, who is very popular in the region, has earned a reputation as a dogged campaigner who has canvassed every neighborhood in the area.

PAMELA GORMAN - 2 term Senator from LD-6. Gorman earned her BA in Communication from Arizona State University. Pamela Gorman has worked as partner in a consulting firm.
Gorman's political career began with her service as captain for the Republican Precinct Committee. She then worked as a Voter Registration Chair for District 6 Arizona. She was elected to the Arizona State House of Representatives in 2004 and served until 2006. Gorman served in the Arizona State Senate from 2006 to 2010. When she resigned she was the Majority Whip.
Pamela has always been a solid Conservative throughout her political career. With 47,739 registered Republican voters in LD-6, for Gorman to win this race, she has to get the California Carpetbagger Sam Crump to quit the race.

VERNON PARKER - Mayor of Paradise Valley, former candidate for AZ Governor. Mayor. Parker received his Juris Doctorate degree from Georgetown University Law Center, in Washington, DC where he served as Editor in Chief of the Georgetown American Criminal Law Review. He also received his B.S. in finance from California State Univesity at Long Beach.
He is married and has a son and a daughter.
Vernon B. Parker was sworn in as Mayor of Paradise Valley, Arizona on June 12, 2008. He is the founder of The VBP Group, a company specializing in Human Resource Management, and Public Relations. Mayor Parker has a rich history in government, private sector, and volunteerism.
Like all of the candidates in this race, the key to Parker's success is to raise $$$ (A Congressional race of this magnitude needs $2 Million). Parker doesn't have the name ID that his competitors have in the District.

SAM CRUMP - 2 term State Representative from LD-6. Crump lives in Anthem, Arizona with his wife, Colleen, and their four children. He is an attorney and partner in the law firm Boates & Crump. Crump began his career as a captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corps.Sam is an active volunteer in the community. He was the charter president of the Anthem Rotary Club.
He is the founder of an orphanage in Uganda where he has traveled many times. He serves on the Board of Hope 4 Kids International and is a member of the American Legion. Crump and his family attend St. Rose Catholic Church.
Crump graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in government and masters in public administration. Sam received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
Sam Crump came to Arizona back in 2002 looking for a District where he could run for Congress after a failed attempt to get elected to the CA State Assembly. This is the 3rd office he is running for in 2010 (AG, then his House seat now CD-3) CALIFORNIA CARPETBAGGER CRUMP should go back to CA where he belongs!
