Air Force to Hold Public Meetings on Impact of F-35 Program at Luke AFB

January 26, 2010 - The Air Force and Department of Defense have announced the dates and locations of upcoming meetings on the feasibility of choosing Luke Air Force Base as the second training base for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. The Air Force will be conducting an Environmental Impact Study (EIS) on the effect of locating the F-35 program at Luke AFB, and the upcoming "scoping" meetings will be held in communities surrounding the base. Members of the public will be able to submit comments regarding what they believe should be the focus of the Environmental Impact Study.

All meetings will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
