Obama's Nobel speech: 'I am living testimony to the moral force of non-violence.' By: David Freddoso

In his Nobel acceptance speech yesterday, President Obama justified his decision to raise the stakes in the Afghan War. It was also another arrogant, self-referential Obama Special:

"As someone who stands here as a direct consequence of Dr. King's life's work, I am living testimony to the moral force of non-violence."

Dr. Martin Luther King won the Nobel in 1964, after years of being arrested and persecuted for his pursuit of basic human rights.

One would hope that his legacy amounts to much more than a president who praises himself while accepting awards he clearly doesn't deserve, and who sounds more like George W. Bush with each speech he gives on foreign policy.
