I read an article in yesterday's 'Sonoran Alliance' about the possibilty of Maricopa County Sheriff JOE ARPAIO running for Governor in 2010.I decided to go to my good friend Sheriff Joe and find out for myself.
As usual when we talk, Sheriff Joe ALWAYS asks about our dog, Ginger (she turns 13 next month), then my wife, THEN he asks how I am doing...LOL!
We had a nice conversation, talking about potential candidates, the upcoming 2010 political campaign season and many other topics.
If Sheriff Arpaio decides to run in 2010 for governor, he would be a formidible candidate! Arpaio CAN raise $$$, which in these trying times is a difficult task and will be for many candidates.
He has better name recognition that ANY of his potential opponents and his popularity is at an all time high.
So I then asked Sheriff Joe if he was going to run......he said, and I quote: "NEVER SAY NEVER"!
