WHO IS BEHIND THE SMEAR CAMPAIGN AGAINST SEN. PAMELA GORMAN?

Earlier this week, a video was released promoting people to contact Anthem State Senator PAMELA GORMAN (R) to change her vote on the Budget.

We now know who made this video. Richard Sales, former employee of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the Arizona Republican Party, created the video. His website,
"RichardSalesMedia.com" shows videos similar to the one made vs Sen. Gorman.

Here is where the story gets interesting.

Whether coincidence or not, on Monday August 17, 2009, ALL of the LD-6 PC's received a 'mysterious' e-mail from "
district6gop@gmail.com" and the e-mail contained a link to the video. I opened the e-mail, looked at the video and then deleted it.

How did "
district6gop@gmail.com" get a hold of the LD-6 E-Mail List? A list that only 3 people have? (I am NOT one of them).

Something is not right here. Was the LD-6 E-Mail List given to an outside interest? Makes you wonder?
Its' strange that a Republican operative, Richard Sales, is producing video against a sitting State Senator who has always been a loyal, Conservative Republican.

Who paid Mr. Sales to do this?

We will get to the bottom of this......

Here is a letter that supports Sen. Pamela Gorman that was sent out after the controversial e-mail:

Good evening fellow Precinct Committee men and women,

Please allow me to take a moment of your valuable time to respond to an unfortunate (and inaccurate) email that you may have received yesterday regarding our Senator Pamela Gorman.

I, like many of you that I have heard from, believe that the malicious email and you tube video was in poor taste and should not have been distributed in any way and for that I would like to apologize to you and to Senator Gorman. She has stood her ground under intense pressure and should be commended for doing so. (Fact - Senator Gorman has voted in favor of the property tax reduction multiple times) Senator Gorman has also been pushing for a repeal of personal income taxes, much to the chagrin of special interest lobbyists. Hmmm, maybe that's why they're so mad....

Senator Gorman voted for the Republican budget. Perhaps we should be calling the governor and encouraging her to sign it.

I support Pamela in her stand against yet another tax on the citizens of Arizona. Many will say "Just send it to the ballot and let the people vote it down." Well, if the video misrepresenting our Senator is just a glimpse of the propaganda that will be heaped upon this state to get this sales tax passed, don't be so sure it will fail. Since when do we need lobbyists telling us how to think?

I think we should be focusing more on what this party stands for (smaller government and lower taxes) and supporting our elected officials that do the same.

Again, I apologize and hope to see you this coming Monday evening. Thanks for your time.

Carrie Rauch
1st Vice Chairman LD6, MCRC

Kudos Carrie well said! Senator Pamela Gorman has always stood on principal and she is on the right side of this issue. Her opponents have even sunk so low as to e-mail her private cell phone number out so people can call.

Thank God for the Pamela Gorman's of the world. I wish there were more politicians like her!

70 percent of likely voters support a government that provides fewer services and has less of a tax burden.

88 percent of Republicans support a smaller government with lower taxes.

78 percent of independents and even 48 percent of Democrats support a government that provides less services and has less of a tax burden on citizens.

Senator Pamela Gorman, in fighting for real spending cuts and opposing the Governor's $3 billion tax increase, is not only fighting for the taxpayers, but Gorman's position is consistent with that of 88 percent of Republicans and 70 percent of all Americans.

So tell me, please ... who are the geniuses working with Governor Brewer and Randy Pullen that are not willing to make serious cuts and want to increase taxes on Arizona's working families by $3 billion?

Pullen and Brewer are fighting the general public, they are fighting the core of the Republican Party, they are opposing the views of independent voters and they are taking a position to the extreme left -- left of even 48 percent of Democrats.

Keep fighting Senator Gorman! Someone is standing up against the special interests and standing WITH THE PEOPLE!

It looks like Gorman, Senator Ron Gould, Senator Jim Waring, Representative Sam Crump and Representative Andy Biggs are in the mainstream. It's time for others to stand up and be loyal to the people and the values that they trumpeted when running for office as Republicans. A loyal Republican would fight the $3 billion tax increase!

Keep fighting Pamela!!

Let's have Randy Pullen and Governor Brewer get in line with Americans, Republicans, Independents and even 48 percent of Democrats that believe government should provide LESS SERVICES and have a LOWER TAX BURDEN on its citizens!

Please tell Republicans to join the fight for lower taxes and join Senator Pamela Gorman, Senator Ron Gould, Senator Jim Waring, Representative Sam Crump and Representative Andy Biggs and say "NO!" to Governor Brewer and Randy Pullen's risky $3 billion tax increase scheme!!!
