SACRAMENTO, CA - Tea Party Express leader, Mark Williams, has generated a lively discussion with his declaration on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 that Barack Obama's policies are leading America down a path towards socialism.
Mark Williams (Vice Chair of the conservative group, Our Country Deserves Better Committee, which is organizing the "Tea Party Express") was interviewed about the ongoing townhall protests and the upcoming tea party rallies which will take place from August 28 - September 12.
The segment can be viewed below. During the interview, Mr. Williams argued that Obama's policies are leading our country down a path towards socialism with the government already controlling - or seeking to control - the automobile industry, the banking industry and the healthcare industry.
MARK WILLIAMS: "Our country deserves much better than being dismantled, only to be rebuilt as a failed socialist paradise. "
ANDERSON COOPER: "You really believe that President Obama wants to make this into a socialist paradise?"
MARK WILLIAMS: "Yes... the government owns the automobile industry, the government owns the banking industry, the government is about to own the healthcare industry..."
