Voter Registration Drive

Hello fellow LD6 Republicans,

My name is Steve Kaiser and am the voter registration coordinator for our District. I wanted to introduce myself and also ask for your assistance. We will be conducting at least one voter registration event each month and also once a month I will be partnering with each precinct to print out a walking list and work with the captain of that precinct to meet fellow republican neighbors, plan on the fall for this! I need your help identifying local events that happen either on a routine basis or are more sporadic. Please look at churches, libraries, grocery stores, or other high traffic areas that could be potential voter registration sites and then communicate with me what you see.

I met with the political director for the AZGOP, Colin Shipley, and he gave me a great breakdown of our district and its strengths and opportunities. While our district is predominantly republican our margin over the dems has consistently been shrinking since 2002. The rise of Independants has skyrocketed much like the rest of the country. 2010 will be very important for our party and there are at least three congressional races in this state where we have a chance to unseat an incumbent democrat. The first step to unseat these folks is to register more republicans and more importantly sign them up for the permanent early voter. Stats show that permanent early voters will vote at a much higher rate than registered voters that have to go to the polls.

I'm happy to live in a state with a large Republican advantage, let's keep it that way! Looking forward to hearing your ideas,
