JEFF FLAKE: Bold Stand Against Earmarks

As you know, Congressman Flake has long taken a bold stand against earmarks. He has worked hard to ensure no private company receives a taxpayer-funded, no-bid contact, which is essentially what an earmark is.

Late last week, Congressman Flake introduced his eighth privileged resolution asking for an ethics investigation to look at the correlation of campaign contributions and earmarks. Yesterday, the House voted against his resolution, but again, Congressman Flake continued to gain support, as two additional Democrats joined the cause. While some in Congress continue to hold their ground, it's clear the tide is turning.

Last Sunday, the Kansas City Post and Courier ran an opinion piece entitled "Bold Stand Against Earmarks" highlighting Congressman Flake's continued efforts against the pay-to-play system. I've provided a link to the piece here and I'll hope you'll take a few moments to read it.
As always, thank you for your support of Congressman Flake. I'd appreciate it if you could share this with your family and friends and ask them to join our cause to eliminate earmarks in Washington.

Sincerely,

Mike Haller
Campaign Manager
