“Here Come the Judges”

NEW RIVER/DESERT HILLS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION TO HOST NORTH VALLEY JUSTICE GERALD WILLIAMS AND DESERT RIDGE JUSTICE CLANCY JAYNE

(04/14/09 – New River, AZ) Justices of the Peace Gerald A. Williams (North Valley Precinct) and newly installed Clancy Jayne (Desert Ridge Precinct) will speak about what they do, how they help our area and what is new.
There are 25 justice courts in Maricopa County that hear a combined 400,000 cases each year. These cases include civil lawsuits where the amount in dispute is $10,000 or less, landlord and tenant controversies, small claims, and the full range of civil and criminal
traffic offenses including DUI's.
Justices of the Peace also resolve other types of misdemeanor allegations (e.g., shoplifting, writing bad checks, violating restraining orders, etc.) and also handle requests for orders of protection and injunctions against harassment.

NRDHCA is hosting this public meeting to provide our community an opportunity to hear the latest issues affecting our justice courts and to ask questions. Please join us on Tuesday, April 14 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Crossroads Christian Fellowship at 42425 N. New River Road.

NRDHCA will provide light refreshment and a chance for socializing immediately following the Justices’ presentation. For more information, contact Terry Marron at 623-587-7039 or visit
