BRUCE ASH - TURNING SOUTHERN ARIZONA 'RED'

Two ultra-liberal Arizona Blogs, 'Blog For Arizona' & 'Rum, Romanism and Rebellion have written articles on the recent race for the Marana City Council race.



Let us now set some facts that these stories ommitted. BRUCE ASH is a longtime business owner in Marana, and since he pays taxes there, he has just as much right to be involved in Marana politics as anyone. Ash, in a phone call this afternoon, told us that he doesn't want to see Marana turn into another 'Tucson' which is the liberal capital of Arizona.



Kelle Maslyn, a liberal Dem, is running for Marana City Council. Maslyn is a Lobbyist for Comcast Cable TV.

These Bloggers complain that this is suppossed to be a 'non-partisan' election. The Democrats haven’t, giving Maslyn $1,000 and other assistance, as has the liberal PAC Arizona’s List with $500.

More controversial for Maslyn is that over 90 percent of her campaign funds come from outside Marana, including $390 maximum contributions from Tucson City Manager Mike Hein’s wife and one of his assistants, plus the same from Gary Hayes, executive director of PAG, Dan Sullivan, a PAG consultant, and Marana’s lobbyist, Mike Racy. Isn’t this the kind of stuff Democrats get upset about and yell “corruption” when it’s done by a Republican?
