A Note from Bruce Ash - Arizona National Committeeman:

I have made no commitments who I will support and vote for in the RNC election. Saul is competing hard for my vote and the votes of many others . I have been in close contact with Ken Blackwell, Michael Steele and Chip Saltsman in the past few days. I also appreciate the plans put forth by Steele and Blackwell.

At this time everyone tells me that current chairman Duncan has the most commitments from members but at best has only 50% of the votes he will need to win on the first ballot. Steele trails by about 10 votes with Anuzis and Dawson right behind.

The current chairman of the party has been using his incumbency to offer RNC cash to state parties and positions to members if they agree to support him. I have been offered nothing from him nor has our state party received any offers of cash support. Some members have been swayed by these tactics. I am not sure how many perks he has left in his pocket to offer members for their support but I suspect not enough to win on the first ballot.

I will support the candidate who will be the best fit for Arizona Republicans.

As always I do appreciate hearing from activists like you and please feel free to contact me at BAsh@PaulAshMGT.com

Let me know who you think might make the next RNC Chair.

Thanks ............Bruce Ash
