Team -
I am excited about the future of our party. As I've traveled the country to meet with many of you these last few weeks, I have been encouraged by the desire of our leaders to fight back and win once again.
I've shared with you my priorities -- one of which is the desire to "Reboot" the RNC and lead the way in e-communications and technologies.
Let me be crystal clear: I don't just want to catch up to the Democratic Party and the liberals online, I want to beat them at their own game every single day. As your Chairman, I will do just that.
The Comeback of the Republican Party will not happen overnight but it must happen if we are to compete at any level. And it will only be accomplished because we will have built and wired a Republican community, powered it with state of the art technology and will have mobilized it one email at a time.
My action plan "One Email At A Time" from my Blueprint for a GOP Comeback includes strategies that will help guide the rebooting of the Republican Party. Here are a few key points:
E-GOP: In my view, there should not be a division of the RNC responsible for our E-Campaign. Instead, E-technology should be integrated into every department, every program and every event undertaken by our party.
A Modern E-War Room: Republicans would be wise to keep a better eye on what the Democrats are doing and saying online. If not, we're missing opportunities to present an alternative message. I will build and staff a state-of-the-art operation that allows are best volunteers to participate in our efforts to present alternative solutions and hold Democrats accountable.
Best and Brightest: No one company or consultant will have a monopoly on the RNC. I want the best and brightest Republican technology thought leaders meeting regularly in an environment where they can speak frankly about what is working -- what isn't -- and how we beat the Democrats today. All hands on deck -- all the time.
Massive Republican E-Army: We will compete with Barack Obama's 13 million online army by recruiting and training an online activist E-Army of 20 million people.
State Party E-Fund: Our state and territorial parties need funding for technology infrastructure/equipment and training on how to use the technology.
Technology Training: We will structure the RNC to reflect the dawn of a new technological era; all involved, from chairman on down, will be versed and trained in the use of these new tools including text messaging, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, YouTube, and many more to integrate them into all aspects of the RNC.I have the action plan to "reboot" our Republican Party to beat the Democrats online - one email at a time. For a complete list of specific tactics, please read my Blueprint for a GOP Comeback.
Our Comeback starts now, I hope you'll join me.
