All of you on this list represent leadership and the hard working activists of our party. I am reaching out to you for your views on the future of the Republican Party.
I am forwarding a very recent broadcast sent by former Lt Governor Michael Steele who has announced himself as a candidate for RNC Chairman.
As your National Committeeman I will be voting along with my other colleagues in late January for the next leader of our party as we reorganize ourselves and prepare for the rebuilding of the GOP in 2010 and beyond.
I hope you will spend about 2 minutes and listen to this presentation from Michael Steele .
Many of us are familiar with Mr Steele from his frequent cable appearances but in this video he presents himself for our consideration as RNC Chair. I would appreciate any thoughts you have about Mr Steele and how you feel about his qualifications and capabilities for this position.
There are several others at this time who have presented themselves as candidates for the same position. All of the men and women have their own unique resume and strengths. I will forward their information as this campaign un folds. This is truly OUR party and as we prepare for future victories I want to involve each of you in this process. Please feel free to pass this onto other GOP friends so I might hear from as many interested folks as possible.

Thank you for stepping out in support of Mr. Steele. He is the one candidate with both feet planted firmly on the ground and his hands in his own pockets.
A disturbance in the force tells me that Mr. Steele is about to undergo a "make-under" courtesy of the GOPurity Crowd.
It appears that a plan is in effect to C*Block Michael Steele's run for the RNC Chair, under the guise of "questionable former affiliations". Convict me NOW of my "former affiliations". Heck, you can even convict me of some of my "current affiliations". Guilty as charged & I wouldn't have it any other way.
What about all of the GOPurists who are the progenitors of a generation of tweakers, identity thieves, homosexuals, abortion customers, baby-makers, single mommies, deadbeat daddies, debtors, etc????? We MUST call them out.
The church pews and GOP meetings are filled to the brim with grandmas & grandpas full of hot,holy air who LIE to make sure they "look good on the outside" so you'd never think to look on the inside.
These GOPurists are the people who are truly "questionable" in the minds of most of us - because they refuse to acknowledge or admit to any of the "human condition." Even Jesus did that.
Mr. Steele will be a wonderful RNC Chairman. I wish he had run 4 years ago. I love his idea of using the Internet & all its' tools to build new members. Michael Steele has done a great job as a spokesman on the Fox News Channel and will continue to be when he is the Chairman.

We are facing some scary times in our nation. We are facing the largest deficient in our nation’s history. More American jobs are lost overseas with record high corporate taxes. We have become a service economy instead of a producing one. Our dollar is weak, the economy uncertain and American dream fading with home foreclosures.
We need a strong leader in the Republican Party that understands this and Michael Steele does. He will do what is right even if it’s not the most popular thing to do. He has proven himself over the years of being a true conservative leader. He has the convictions that we seek in leadership and will move us into a more stable future.

I have had my eye on Mr. Steele for some time now, he is very impressive and has my vote for sure!
Thank you! We NEED more candidates like Michael Steele and Sarah Palin to get the GOP to the greatness it once was. We don't need the "good old boys" club anymore or ever - we need people who can relate to the grassroots and that the grassroots can relate to them!
That means people who believe in smaller government, less spending on frivolous entitlements, pro-life issues, pro-family issues, and purity of the office!
I am in total agreement that Michael Steele is the man for this hour! He has been a strong leader and a voice for conservatives! And he has great ideas about how to lead the GOP and the nation!

If the GOP wants to get back into favor with Americans - the party has to show it has GREAT ideas - NOT attacks on the other candidates! THAT is why the GOP lost so many seats as well as the Presidency! That's what leadership is all about!
I think Michael Steele is an excellent choice. Last night there was a meeting of over 150 young Conservative GOPers on Capitol Hill. The meeting was sponsored by one Newts employees and we discussed the future of the GOP and what part we need to have in the process. There was a straw poll and Michael Steele won by a land slide he had over 50 percent of the vote with the next closest less than 10 percent. We the next generation of RNC leaders want him to the face and leader of our party.
Steele is great on so many levels! I hope you will support him in his bid.
I saw how he treated volunteers in his 2006 MD campaign and he was very appreciative. He is articulate, organized, well-presented, raised a lot of money in his 2006 campaign, good on TV, and has a good grassroots organization at www.steeleforchairman.com.
