Some Americans will have no idea what General Giap means; they believe in the Democratic Party, always have, always will. They are somewhat like smokers hanging on to a habit, except that unlike smokers they do not always know that hanging on is not in their best interests. We know that some Democrats put country first and try to represent their constituents as best they can. Others, however, believe they have a higher obligation, to the Party, and only represent the Party.
Republicans, of course, are not without blame; we have seen some real stinkers in past years. Nonetheless, putting party over people is rare. In fact, I have no idea why some folks in Congress are called Republicans.
Europe has already shown us what happens when the Left governs for decades without a conservative party to
counter-balance Leftist policies.
General Giap reminds us what can happen when we allow our own Leftists to govern without checks by Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats, and with a corrupt, leftist media, especially in time of war.
War is too important a situation to put the Left in charge or look to the Mainstream Media for the truth. We should only deal with one enemy at a time.
