One ironic thing I noticed when looking at the results....
One candidate for Secretary is always NAKED and NO ONE would EVER WANT to see the OTHER candidate NAKED !!
Congratulations to the Board. I noticed all the comments during the speeches about "openness". Maybe "us oldtimers" aren't as open as we think! We'll have to work on that! I was VERY glad to see so many interested PC's there last night. I hope that interest will be maintained. Bev

With passionate and concerned people like you in LD6, we can't go wrong. We're blessed to have you and the Kraus family on our side.
If there hasn't been much "openness" so far, I think it has a lot more to do with protecting the privacy and integrity of the PCs from the onslaught of "friendly fire". I appreciate that someone had the foresight to look out for me and my family.
There has been a small, rag-tag Red Army in LD6 for several years now. They don't understand that true service is selfless and there should be no expectation of a bounty or crown, merely for serving. Nothing (but title envy) has prevented any of them from hitting the street and chipping away at any "long term goals" the members of the slate quarry could possibly have.
It's a phenomenon that occurs in schools, churches, communities, non-profits and political circles.......it is a form of "volunteerism extortion". They almost never publicly say it but prefer whisper campaigns to plot their coup. They really are thinking....."You obviously don't appreciate all that I do. From now on, I'll help in any way, if you appoint or elect me Secretary of the Pet Rocks or Chairmen of the Chia Pets".
I hope that this election breathes new hope and confidence in the Executive Board and their supporters. We can all hold our heads up high, define new missions, march forward and leave the carrion behind.
Thank God that the LD6 "oldtimers" aren't the Sun City/Surprise kind of Grandmas and Grandpas. We've got movers and shakers here! The LD6 oldtimers could teach volumes to the LD4 folks. Talk about a generation gap. Yikes!
Check out the Sonoran Alliance blog for videos of the most insane yet funny display of AZ GOP love I've ever seen. I'm sure there have been more AZ GOP "love-fests" but I haven't had the viewing pleasure.
