We have just found out that City of Phoenix Council will hold a meeting this Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 3PM at (the round building) 300 W. Washington to decide the fate/$$$ of Pioneer Living History Museum. This has REALLY BEEN PUSHED UP ON THE AGENDA unexpectedly (and with a plan to disperse the voters money elsewhere) so if you can please find the time to make yourself and your opinion VISIBLE AND VOCAL, please do! We can meet and carpool from Gutowski Cabinets, leaving at 2PM to ensure we're there on time. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO ATTEND, THIS IS IMPORTANT TO OUR COMMUNITY'S FUTURE!

URGENT BASF LEGISLATIVE ALERT
Phoenix City Council Wed. 29 Oct. 2009
Session starts 3:00 p.m.
Many of you may remember supporting a City of Phoenix Bond issue that included funding for BASF and the Pioneer Living History Village which is just north of BASF.
Now there will be a vote on whether to strip funding that would have gone toward purchasing the Pioneer Living History Village. Acquisition of the Village is vital for protecting the northern perimeter of Ben Avery Shooting Facility from further encroachment. If the funding is stripped, it will be a betrayal of Phoenix gun owners, hunters and shooters who supported and voted for the bond issue.
The session is scheduled for about 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, 29 Oct. Time is very short. Councilwoman Thelda Williams is leading the fight to protect BASF. Call the Mayor and your city council member ASAP and urge them to reject the proposal by the Parks & Recreation Board and to retain the $2 million appropriation and complete the acquisition of Pioneer Living History Village. Time is very short. The Future of the BASF could be at stake.
