Since Barack Obama's chance encounter with "Joe the plumber" the political talk across America has been all about "sharing the wealth" as Senator Obama said was needed in America & his running mate's assertion that re distribution of income through increased taxes was "patriotic."
The McCain ticket is correct referring to the Obama tax and economic policies as Socialistic because the end result will be one of the largest shifts of wealth in our nation's history.
Let's see what Obama said as early as 2001 on a Chicago public radio station commenting about the Warren Court
........."The Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and the sort of more basic issues of political & economic justice in this society........One of the real tragedies of the Civil Rights movement was because the Court became so focused there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change and in some ways we still suffer from that."
The Democrat presidential ticket complains about being called Socialists . Some with the Obama campaign even complain that "Socialist" is a racial code word. It isn't a code word for anything racial. It's the economy dummy.
There is a significant threat that an Obama presidency would bring that could fundamentally change the society we live in today. Socialism has been tried before and we all know it is a failed experiment. The sort of increased taxes being suggested by Obama in the middle of our economic downturn would be folly.
The Obama ( no ) trade policy reminds me of the same Smoot Hawley Act enacted under Hoover that is widely believed to have widened the Great Depression by many years. Obama / Biden just cannot be trusted with our pocketbook because they want to swipe it from all of us.
There could be as many as four new Supreme Court Justices appointed in the next few years. A vote this November for Obama's philosophy of using an activist Supreme Court which to not interpret the US Constitution but serve as his change agent to re distribute our nation's wealth without a single vote of the people is radical politics. Remember that both Obama / Biden voted against the confirmation of Chief Justice Roberts and Associate Justice Alioto. Biden also voted against Justice Thomas as well as served as the chief inquisitor of Solicitor General Bork who he helped defeat .
Each have said their vote had nothing to do with their qualifications to serve but did have everything to do with their legal philosophies. Who Obama would select the upcoming Supreme Court appointments ought to concern all Americans who work every day, try to raise their families, own a home and create a nest egg for their future because Barack Obama and Joe Biden want us to use the Supreme Court to re distribute our wealth.
