How bout them CARDINALS!!!
Despite the attempts from the HORRIBLE NFL Referees (3 Bad Calls vs the Cards including 2 Cowpie fumbles, one recovered by the Cards for a TD that was NOT allowed), the ARIZONA CARDINALS defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30 to 24 in Overtime @ University of Phoenix Stadium.
J.J. Arrington started the game for the Cards with a 93 yard Opening Kick Off return. Then the Cards Defense took over and put pressure on Dallas QB Tony Romo.
The Cardinals Offense stumbled thru the first half but rebounded in the second half roared back to put a whoopin' on the Cowboys. The game was not as close as the score indicated; the Cards physically pounded the Cowboys all day long!
The game went to Overtime when Cards Coach Ken Whisenhunt called a timeout on the last play of the game; Cards had blocked a 52 yard FG attempt by Dallas, but Whiz had called timeout before the play. Given a second chance, Nick Folk hit the FG, forcing OT.
After holding the Cowboys to 3 plays, the Cardinals Sean Morey Blocked a punt and Monty Beisel picked up the ball and scored the winning TD!
Great win by the 1st place, 4 - 2 Cardinals! They go into the bye week with a 2 game lead in the NFC West.
