For a person who received his party’s nomination for president, Senator Obama certainly does not know much about the American people. Of course, the American people do not know very much about him. So far, he has lied about himself and his agenda. He talks about change, but does not discuss exactly what change he has in mind. Like many other Democrats, truth to him is what you can make others believe.
He still disguises his Marxism as some kind of populism. Marxists are not at all populists; they put party first, last, and always. Their hobbies seems to be limited to any actions that take income from
the income earner and put it right into the pockets of the indolent. I do not like that idea, neither does my neighbor. Obama is by no means looking out for us. We know that.
For decades now, some of us thought that it was long past due that we found an American leader emerging from a minority segment of our population who could lead us into tomorrow. That person would respect who we are and he indeed would be a part of us. At first we thought and hoped Jesse Jackson could be he, but alas, Jesse turned sour and self-destructed somehow and the country moved on and away from him. Barbara Jordan was a good prospect. It is a shame that she was taken from us so early. She could have taught Barak a few things about public speaking, such as sincerity. Colin Powell was also a serious thought, but he did not seem interested in the position or in us. After almost giving up, we thought perhaps Condoleezza Rice would be the person, but her department never seemed to know anything and she lost her credibility with many of us when she showed ignorance of the Middle East and particularly Islam. In addition, she seems to have missed the essence of the Palestinian syndrome. Again, we moved on.
When Obama came along, we waited and watched, and wondered how he tiptoed through the tulips of education, State Government, and the U.S. Senate without leaving any footprints. He claims to have been a community organizer; however, his Marxism notwithstanding, again he left no footprint to let us know what we need to know. The Leftists saw in him the messiah, probably because he could speak without the usual Democrat stridence. But others saw him to be more like Jim Jones. We were very disappointed to see Reverend Wright and some nasty people whom he took as friends and mentors--none of them good for the country, nor even decent enough to write home about. Birds of a feather, the nuns used to tell us, most assuredly stick together.
When I listened to him--difficult to do when he says little of interest--I saw someone who wanted closer ties with the inept and corrupt United Nations; just the opposite of what is good for this country. No American I know has many good things to say about the United Nations. It is the world’s costliest debating society, whose theme could very well be, never come to a decision and by no means ever do anything. I saw someone who thought more of Europe than he did of us, a Europe who takes advantage of our generosity, but turns its back on us at every opportunity. I saw someone planning unimaginable attacks on our Constitution, and a complete disregard for our values and our way of life.
He placed himself against the people of America, not for us. In
short, I believe he is trying to be a wrecking ball, ready to destroy everything that we real Americans hold dear. I believe that we need to continue our search for the right person--and just pass on this guy! He is no JFK or Ronald Reagan, not even a Harry Truman. When all is taken into consideration, he could be worse than the infamous peanut farmer from Plains, Georgia.
The world is a very dangerous place, much too dangerous to consider a chief executive who does not appear to be one of us--we are not Marxists--and whom we could not trust to take that 3 AM phone call. And some of us know about 3 AM phone calls. That is the first order of business, keeping us safe and ready. If he cannot get that right, he can’t get anything right! It is quite obvious he cannot get that first order of business right, so who needs him? That bumper sticker I saw today made good sense--NOBAMA!
