Con-Man CARL SEEL makes the Arizona Republic

Sunday August 18, 2008

Losing your house while running for the House . . . . How's this for walking in the shoes of the people you want to serve?

Carl Seel, a Republican candidate for the state House of Representatives, is in foreclosure on his Deer Valley house, according to records filed with the Maricopa County Recorder's Office.

But Seel says the matter has been resolved, and there will be no Sept. 24 auction, although the official record has not yet caught up with the most recent developments.

"I've corrected that situation with the mortgage company," Seel said.

He said the magazine-publishing business he runs with his wife fell on hard times because of declining advertising revenues. Things got worse when his wife was pulled away to deal with the death of her grandmother. That hardship is the reason he was able to work out his differences with the mortgage company, he said.

Seel said that, unlike many homeowners who feel they were duped into loans they couldn't afford, he knew what he was doing when he bought the house in August 2006.

"Could the industry be held to a higher standard?" he asked. "Sure." And, he said, as a state representative, he would be attuned to such legislation.

Well Mr. Seel has been telling everyone that this mortgage situation is over. Wrong! As of last week, it hasn't and the Trustee Sale is still on:

If Seel was as Conservative as he thinks he is, he would take the RESPONSIBILITY for his OWN action, not blame others. Some pundits are wondering whether Seel will use part of the $ 51,936.14 he has received from Clean Elections to date to make his mortgage up to date?

Maybe if CARL SEEL spent the past 5 years working to support his family instead of non-stop running for political office, he might not be in this situation!

"Carl Seel is an embarrassment to the right wing.
Thought you'd like to know that his mailer was FULL of spelling errors/typos - just like his mailers last time he ran! "

I'm just happy to see that you've seen the light and are supporting the Democratic candidate in this race, Tony Bouie.
