And this Guy Wants To Be a Delegate to Vote For John McCain @ the GOP National Convention?

Back in 2005, ARA member Bruce Barton, of Safford, authored a resolution of Censure AGAINST Sen. John McCain.

"The reasons behind the censure focus specifically on McCain’s amnesty bill for illegal aliens, for deserting the ranks of the Republican Party by undermining Senate President Bill Frist’s recent attempt to change a filibuster cloture rule and for ignoring constitutional concerns with his campaign finance reform law. "

Now in 2008, his name is among the 270 + people who want to be elected on Saturday May 10th as a Delegate to the GOP National Convention.

Has Mr. Barton had a change of heart towards John McCain? I doubt it! The State Delegates voting Saturday will have to ask him that question.

When are
people going to learn that JOHN McCAIN IS the Republican Nominee for President in 2008? It's a DONE deal, McCain won the Primary Elections across the country. ANY attempts by the Ron Paul Bots and/or McCain Haters will only make themselves look bad and elect a Liberal democrat to the Oval Office!

Don't
they realize that bashing John McCain only leads to the election of Barack Obama as the next President? Republicans have ONE chance in 2008, his name is JOHN McCAIN!!!

I hope these folks WTFU before it's too late?

From Arizona Revised Statutes:

A. The selection of delegates to the political party national conventions shall be as provided in the bylaws of each state party.

B. Each delegate to the national convention shall use his best efforts at the convention for the party's presidential nominee candidate who received the greatest number of votes in the presidential preference election until the candidate is nominated for the office of president of the United States by the convention, until the candidate releases the delegate from his obligation, until a candidate withdraws from the race or until one convention nominating ballot has been taken. After a candidate is nominated, withdraws from the race, delegates are released or one ballot is taken, each delegate is free to vote as he chooses, and no rule may be adopted by a delegation requiring the delegation to vote as a body or causing the vote of any delegate to go uncounted or unreported.
