Republican nominee will unite party and America
Phoenix, AZ - Voters in Ohio, Vermont, Rhode Island and Texas clinched the Republican nomination for President of the United States for Arizona U.S. Senator John McCain on Tuesday and state party chair Randy Pullen said he was very enthusiastic about how the party, and the nation, was uniting behind the G.O.P. choice for chief executive.
"Senator John McCain is a great nominee for President and he has our united support. He has demonstrated true grit and determination in winning the nomination," Pullen said. "The coming debate with whomever the Democrats nominate will be a debate between a Republican nominee who thinks America's strength comes from our belief in a brighter future and the opportunities we can create for all people and a Democrat nominee who believes that a government welfare state must run people's lives because people can't do things for themselves."
Pullen said he was proud of the Republican candidates in the primary, but he was even more proud of the way the party was uniting around John McCain.
"Senator McCain does not surrender to terror, does not back down from a fight, does not stop believing in America, does not stop believing in people, and never stops looking toward the future," Pullen said. "His ideas and his leadership will bring us a stronger economy, stronger schools, affordable health care, and integrity in government. No one understands America's challenges around the world better than John McCain, who will support our troops and make sure that the defeatism of the Left is never allowed to infect the great moral fiber of our mainstream American society.
"American history is rife with new beginnings and the nomination of John McCain for President of the United States is an important moment in our history," said Pullen. "When we gather in Minnesota this summer at the Republican National Convention to make this truly official, we will be sending a strong signal to the nation that our Republican Party is a great party of ideas for a better future of hope and opportunity.
"We are especially proud that an Arizonan has received our
Republican nomination for President," Pullen said. "And we will work hard
to deliver not just a home-state victory for our home-state Senator, but to help
where we are called to deliver an American victory for America's next president:
John McCain."
