Romney’s Liberal Past and His Liberal Friends Along the Way - By justinyork628 - Blogs For McCain

Rocky Anderson, the mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, was endorsed by then-Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney in his 2003 re-election campaign. Observe:

The one problem with this: Rocky Anderson is a a stridently anti-war Liberal, who is a borderline fringe figure in the anti-war movement.

A testament to Gov. Romney’s good judgment, Anderson would go on to become a major anti-war voice, calling for “the biggest demonstration Utah has ever seen” to protest Bush’s appearance at Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention at the Salt Palace.

At this demonstration, Mr. Anderson would utter the standard progressive rallying cry: America “was lied into a war”.

It wouldn’t be the first time Mitt has supported liberal Democrats:

He voted for Paul Tsongas, a liberal Massachusetts senator, in the 1992 Democratic primary.

His family has donated to Planned Parenthood.

He donated to $250 to both Richard Swett (D-NH) and John LaFalce (D-NY).

Romney also gave the legal limit of $1,000 to Doug Anderson, an unsuccessful Democratic candidate for an open Senate seat in Utah

A total of $1,500 for Democratic candidates.

Wid all due respec' . . .

Mitt can take a punch, God Love him, but if he wants to get within a yard of John McCain's whiskers he had better put in some time on the heavy bag and forget the speed bag - too late for that.
