Injuries Kill Cards; ASU goes 7-0; D-Backs lose again!

The Cardinals chances at victory today went down when starting QB KURT WARNER injured his elbow on the second offensive series of today's game vs. the Carolina Panthers.

TIM RATTAY, local boy from Phoenix Christian HS signed by the Cards on Wednesday, came in and replaced Warner. He did an admorable job, but there was no way the Cards were going to win this game without their top 2 QB's.

The Defense was on the field far too long today. Let's hope the injury to Warner isn't serious (in the news conference he said something about Ligaments - not good). Cards will sign QB Tim Hasselbeck (husband of 'The View' co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck) on Monday. Next up, the Washington Redskins....

The good news for the weekend. The Arizona State University Sun Devils destroyed the University of Washington by a score of 44 - 20 Saturday night @ Sun Devil Stadium. ASU started out slowly, as usual, but really picked up the pace in the 2nd half to just plain whip the Huskies. ASU is now Ranked #8 in the Nation by the BCS.

Next up for ASU (7 - 0) is the University of California on Oct 27th in Tempe. Great Job Devils!!! Could this team be headed towards a National Title? Time will tell, they have some tough games ahead.

The D-Backs lost again tonight to the Rockies by a score of 4 - 1. Looks like this series is over (down 3 - 0 to Colorado). D-Backs have just run into a hot team at the wrong time. They need to win 4 in a row (highly unlikely) to reach the World Series. It's been a great season for the young D-Backs. They will learn from this experience.
