Voters Urged to Submit Their Videos on Why They Love Tempe to Hallman Campaign Web Site
TEMPE, AZ
October 24 - Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman has spent the past three and half years building success the right way. His commitment to fiscal responsibility has turned deficits into surpluses while putting more police officers on the street and sparking economic development without unnecessary subsidies to developers.
Now Mayor Hallman is pushing his re-election campaign into high gear by inviting the public to submit video statements on residents love the City; in short, "Why It's Great to be Tempe."
"HughTube" is a fun new video feature on Mayor Hallman's recently updated campaign website (http://www.electhugh.org/ ). Hallman will be posting his own videos outlining city accomplishments and plans for continuing Tempe's rise as "The Great Arizona City" during his second term as well as glimpses at the lighter side of life on the campaign trail.
Browsers can also catch up on the latest news and campaign developments while learning more about Mayor Hallman's guiding philosophies like "no perks," "no developer subsidies" and why he has refused to take a pay raise during his term. And they can find out about Tempe's impressive turnaround under Mayor Hallman's leadership, and how volunteers' efforts can help make his re-election bid a success.
Hallman's re-election campaign has been steadily gathering momentum toward the March 11 Primary election. Hallman was particularly proud to announce his recent double endorsement from Arizona's largest police and fire organizations. The Arizona State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police (along with Tempe Lodge 11 FOP) and the Professional Fire Fighters of Arizona, each with more than 6,500 members, gave Hallman their endorsement, citing his record and lifelong support for public safety.
