All Arizona Cardinals Cornerback Eric Green had to do was to fall on the Football in the endzone & the Cards escape San Francisco with a huge win. But since Green tried to 'showboat', the 49ers fell on the fumbled ball, then scored the winning touchdown on the next play in a 20 - 17 victory over the Cardinals.
Looked like the Cardinals were going to pull of the win; the Defense played great (until the final drive by SF). Despite all the stupid penalties and horrible 1 st half play by QB Matt Leinart, this should have been a victory.
Instead, the Cardinals head home 0 - 1, wondering why they CHOKED again at the end of the game. Will this franchise EVER get win a big game? Much improved Team Defense may help eventually solve this, but the Offense has to step up in order for the Cards to win.
Kudos to Offensive Line Coach Russ Grimm. The OL seems much improved; they actually had a running game for a change. Next Sunday is now a MUST win vs the SeaGulls as they are an in division rival and the Cards already have a loss in the Western Division.....
