Former Arizona State Sun Devil & Pittsburgh Steeler DE, now Marine Lance Corporal JEREMY STAAT deploys to Iraq today. Member of the Sun Devils 1996 Rose Bowl team, whose teammates included PAT TILLMAN & JAKE PLUMMER (this ASU team was within 60 seconds of the National Title), and MVP of the 1997 Sun Bowl, Staat was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers and played in the NFL for 4 years. Once he retired from football, Staat decided on March 10, 2006 to join the Marines. Fox 10's Jude La Cava had an excellent interview with Jeremy Staat on last night's 'Fox 10 Sports Night'. Staat is being deployed today on the Iraq/Syrian border. God's Speed to him & all of our heroes over there fighting for our country...
