The 2008 Presidential Campaign has begun!

NY Sen. Hillary Clinton, front runner for the Democratic Nomination for President in 2008 this weekend brought up the two words that made the 1994 GOP Revolution take place: 'HEALTH CARE'! The Dems are going back to their true beliefs, the Liberal agendas they truly believe in. So much for the Blue Dog Moderates who were elected? The Libs are showing their true colors (we knew it all along).

Yesterday, former NY Mayor Rudy Giuliani threw his hat into the ring by announcing his Exploratory Committee, same as Sen. John McCain did. Giuliani, a tough, experienced candidate, will be a formidable contender for the nomination. The only problem he faces is his Pro-Choice stance on Abortion which will be a tough sell for him to the Conservatives.

The reason for all this early activity is simple....the GOP candidates will have to have raised over $ 100 Million dollars BEFORE the Primaries start in 2008. These primaries will be hard fought and expensive. McCain & Giuliani should be able to raise this type of $$$. If Hillary Clinton has no real competition for the Dem nomination (can you say Obama?), it can make things easier for the Dems. This is going to be an interesting next 2 years!

I really think McCain is toast regarding 2008: He morphed from a 'Straight Talking' moderate independent, to a Jerry Falwell, intelligent design supporting right winger seemingly overnight. And he wants Americans to "Just trust me" regarding sending tens of thousands of extra troops into Iraq? Maybe the 1999 John McCain, not version 2.0...

Giuliani will never make it. Inviting his mistress into the mayor's mansion while his wife and kids slept upstairs will not play with all you "values-voters" types, Any further campaigning by him will be dead on arrival.
