The Cardiac Cardinals lived up to their nickname last Sunday with a victory over the Seattle SeaGulls, despite some of the WORST officiating I have ever seen in my 40+ years of watching NFL Football!

This week, the Cards travel to New England to play the Patriots. Colin Cowherd of ESPN said today that this could be a 'Trap Game' for the Pats!

Well football fans, the 2012 NFL season starts tonight with the Cowboys vs the Giants!

My prediction for the Arizona Cardinals is bleak. Look for a 6 - 10 record this season. Problems at the QB & Offensive Line positions are going to handicap the Cardinals. The Defense should be good, but because the Offense won't score points, look for a down season (got to draft a QB in 2013).

The 1st Place CARDINALS (7 - 3) are huge underdogs against the defending Super Bowl Champion Giants. Don't sell the CARDS short; they are the #1 Offense in the league and they have the best 2 receivers in the NFL in ANQUAN BOLDIN & LARRY FITZGERALD!

If the CARDS win, they will be only 1 game behind the Giants in the quest for the #1 Seed in the NFC. CARDS get home field advantage, who knows how far they can go in the Playoffs?

The D will have to play a flawless game to win, but being a home game, I think the CARDINALS will prevail:

Many pundits don't give ASU a chance, I say NONSENSE. The Sun Devils WILL WIN this game because of two things: QB Rudy Carpenter & their tenacious Defense. Carpenter, one of the toughest kids I have ever seen, finds ways to win. He will play the game of his life in the National spotlight. The ASU Defense can stop USC even with the Trojans at full force. This should be one heck of a game, it will live up to all the hype. I hope the Sun Devils can get off to a better start than usual. This game is for the chance to go to the Rose Bowl & face Ohio State:

Suns beat Houston last night, 115 - 105 to win their 5th game in a row. Suns are now 8 - 2, off to the 2nd best start in Suns history (the 1980 team started 9 - 1). Grant Hill is really fitting into the Suns starting lineup. This team is on a roll, next game Wednesday vs. Sacremento.

With QB KURT WARNER questionable for Sunday's game @ Washington, the Cardinals have an uphill battle. One positive thing; All-Pro Wide Receiver ANQUAN BOLDIN should return which will give new starting QB TIM RATTAY more options. The Redskins, 3 - 2 so far this season, have had a diffucult time running the football. The Cards have a chance at the upset; the Defensive will have to not give up the big play and the Offense cannot turn over the ball:

This is far from over. The D-Backs didn't play well last night. But I stand by my prediction - D-Backs in 6! Why? Because this team, all year long, has stood up against adversity time after time.
