McCain 2010: New Web Feature - CLOCK TRACKING HAYWORTH’S CONTINUED FAILURE TO DISCLOSE SECRET ABRAMOFF TRUST DONORS

JOHN MCCAIN 2010 UNVEILS NEW WEBSITE FEATURE: CLOCK TRACKING HAYWORTH’S CONTINUED FAILURE TO DISCLOSE SECRET ABRAMOFF TRUST DONORS

PHOENIX, AZ -- U.S. Senator John McCain’s re-election campaign today unveiled a new web feature on www.johnmccain.com: A clock tracking ex-Congressman J.D. Hayworth’s continued refusal to come clean with the voters of Arizona and release the names of the donors to his FIT Trust, Mr. Hayworth’s Secret Abramoff Trust Fund he set up to pay hundreds of thousands in legal bills stemming from his involvement with the convicted felon lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

On March 1st, former Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley asked Hayworth to reveal the donors to Mr. Hayworth’s FIT Trust, but now nearly two weeks later, Hayworth still hasn’t come clean. How long will he hide the donors to his Secret Abramoff Trust Fund? The Hayworth Secret Abramoff Trust Clock will keep track.

Check out the Hayworth Secret Abramoff Trust Clock at
www.johnmccain.com, and read the blog post on it here.

On Monday, March 8th,
The Arizona Republic
featured a front-page story on Hayworth’s continued refusal to release donor information, in which former Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley directly addressed Mr. Hayworth, saying “You’re now a candidate for the United States Senate, and who contributes money to you is something that the public has an absolute right to know.”

Melanie Sloan of the non-partisan watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington was also featured in the article saying, “The public should know who’s paying the bills.”

McCain 2010 has produced two web videos on the issue,
“Storm” and “Storm Rising”.

Keep track of the Hayworth Secret Abramoff Trust Clock at www.johnmccain.com.

Whether it's required by law or not, he needs to release those names. We have a RIGHT to KNOW. Stop being shady JD, the more you do that, the more support you lose. I'm voting for an HONEST man... Go McCain!

It angers me to know that the corrupt politicians in Washington (or ones that have served) have this theory that they are above the law and have the right to do as they please. I am tired of JD acting, thinking and making decisions for himself that are unethical and dishonest. JD has too many skeletons in his closet, has earned reputations for himself that do not represent a clean politician such as McCain. The inability to show the records for his trust makes me question what else he is hiding. He is too corrupt for another shot at Washington, we need to keep McCain!

JD the blowhard will always be the same shady character he always has been, history repeats itself right? Well, let's not let JD repeat his already failed appearance in Washington!
